PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BIDS The Borough of Cambridge Springs will receive sealed bids labeled for the "2013 Curb Ramp Reconstruction Project", until 2:00 p.m. on the 9th day of September, 2013, at the Borough of Cambridge Springs Office, located at 161 Carringer Street, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The 2013 Curb Ramp Replacement Project involves the demolition and removal of existing concrete sidewalk and curbing and procuring, placing and/or installing approximately 1,250 square feet of new concrete sidewalk, 172 lineal feet of concrete curbing and 155 square feet of detectable warning surface plates at two separate intersections within the Borough. Contract Documents prepared by Hill Engineering, Inc., including drawings and technical specifications, may be examined at the Borough of Cambridge Springs Office and may be obtained from Hill Engineering, Inc., 8 Gibson Street, North East, PA 16428, 814-725-8659 for a non-refundable payment of $35. Bidders requesting the documents to be shipped will be responsible for the shipping charges. Bidder's inquiries shall be made in writing to the Engineer at the address indicated above. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record as having obtained the Contract Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond with corporate surety, payable to the Borough of Cambridge Springs in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum Bid price. Bidders are advised that this Project may be subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rate Determinations included in the Contract Documents, if the total cost exceeds the applicable threshold.
