PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Meadville until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Thursday October 10, 2013, at the office of the City Clerk located at the City Building, 894 Diamond Park in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, for the plowing of snow, salting and snow removal at various parking lots owned by the City of Meadville and located at various locations downtown in the City of Meadville. Questions regarding this contract shall be directed to the City of Meadville Development Manager, Richard Williams at 814-333-3321. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Proposal furnished by the City of Meadville. Bid proposal forms may be obtained from the Office of Development Manager, 1340 South Cottage Street, Meadville, PA. Bids will be publicly opened on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 2:00 prevailing time in the Meadville City Hall meeting room. The successful bidder shall be required to provide workers compensation, comprehensive general liability and automobile liability insurance in accordance with the contract requirements. Bid bonds and a performance bond shall be required for this contract. The City of Meadville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed 10 days from the date of the bid opening for purposes of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
