PUBLIC NOTICE The Borough of Conneautville is now accepting bid proposals for the collection and disposal of all household, garage and rubbish for approx. 300 residential customers within the borough. All bids should be sent to the Conneautville Borough Office, P.O. Box 288, Conneautville, PA 16406 and marked Bid Proposal. Bids will be accepted until 5 P.M. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 and opened at approx. 7:15 P.M. that evening at the Conneautville Borough Office located at 906 Main St. Conneautville, PA SPECIFICATIONS ARE that the contractor shall collect and dispose of all garbage & rubbish put out at curbside by residential customers within the borough, once a week, every week for a three year period. Garbage may be set out at curbside in bags, boxes or cans and picked up by the contractor at each residential dwelling unit within the borough. The contractor shall also provide a roll-off container to be placed at the borough Maintenance Garage year round. The contractor will provide two (2) borough clean-ups a year at which time residential customers will be able to set out furniture, appliances, carpeting and other trash items other than regular household garbage or rubbish and set them out at curbside to be picked up and disposed of by the contractor. The contractor shall commence work on January 1, 2014 and extend until Dec. 31, 2016. Specifications require that the contractor furnish to the Borough a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the amount of liability under the contract. In addition, the contractor will furnish a certificate of insurance with a minimum liability for property damage being in the amount of $1000,000. A 10% bid bond or certified check must accompany the proposal. The Borough of Conneautville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Joyce A.
