PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT (NOTICE TO BIDDERS) NOTICE is hereby given that the Crawford County Board of Commissioners will receive proposals for "Woodcock Lake Park Concession Stand Operation", at the office of the Crawford County Planning Commission, 3rd Floor, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville, PA 16335 until 1:00 P.M. (prevailing time) on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014 at which time all proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work will consist of: CONTRACT: WOODCOCK LAKE PARK CONCESSION STAND OPERATION The Specifications and other Contract Documents are on file and open to the public for inspection at the office of the Crawford County Planning Commission, Courthouse 3rd Floor, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville, PA 16335 between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Work under this Contract covers the operation of the existing concession stand at Woodcock Lake Park, Crawford County. The Specifications and other Contract Documents may be obtained from the office of the Crawford County Planning Commission, Courthouse 3rd Floor, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville, PA 16335 for a non-refundable fee of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Addenda to the Contract Documents, if any, will only be issued to those entities whose name and mailing address are on record at the office of the Crawford County Planning Commission. Bids shall be on the prescribed forms as furnished by the County. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her proposal a guarantee in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of his/her Bid. The "Bid Guarantee" shall consist of a firm commitment such as a Bid Bond, Certified Check or other negotiable instrument accompanying a Bid as assurance that the Bidder will, upon acceptance of his/her Bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time period specified. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid within thirty (30)-days after the actual date of the Bid opening thereof. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a non-mandatory pre-bid conference at the site on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Attention is called to the fact that work performed under this Contract is subject to the requirements of Executive Order 11246 as amended, regarding equal opportunities and as described within the Contract Documents. All Bidders are herein notified that Minority Business Enterprises (MBE's) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE's) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this Notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for award of the Contract. The successful Bidder must enter into the Agreement and furnish evidence of required insurance within ten (10)-days after the notification of acceptance of such proposal as more specifically outlined within the Contract Documents.
