PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Board of Education of the Lakeview School District, Stoneboro, PA will receive sealed proposals for construction for the following Prime Contracts: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, for LAKEVIEW HIGH SCHOOL MASONRY REPAIR, 2482 Mercer Street, Stoneboro, PA 16153, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Bids will be accepted no later than 2:00 pm, local prevailing time, Thursday June 5, 2014, at the Lakeview School District, Administrative Offices, 2482 Mercer Street, Stoneboro, PA 16153, attn. Dan Osborne, Maintenance and Transportation Supervisor. Promptly after the acceptance deadline, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. Prime Bidders may obtain one set of Bidding Documents as follows: • MAIL a deposit check in the amount of $150.00 payable to LAKEVIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT to Printscape Imaging and Graphics, 700 Vista Park Drive #7, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. Write 13027 Masonry Repair Deposit in the Memo line, and include a request on company letterhead that includes your firm name, contact persons name, email address, UPS shipping address (no PO Box numbers), phone and fax numbers. • Fax to 724-652-0751 a copy of deposit check and written request (email address required). • Bidding Documents will be shipped postage paid upon receipt of faxed request. Deposit will be returned provided Bidding Documents are returned to Printscape within ten calendar days of bidding date, in good usable condition, and a Bona Fide Bid is received by the School District; otherwise deposit will be forfeited. Shipping charges are not refundable. Notice is given that the Project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented. Bidding Documents may be reviewed online at the DFS Plan Room and at the FW Dodge Project Center. Scheduled Site Visits: Bidders are responsible to visit the site to examine the location and existing conditions of the proposed project site, and are advised to do so at a PRE-BID CONFERENCE and site walk-through on Tuesday May 20, 2014. Bidding documents will not be available at the pre-bid conference. Report to the site promptly at 2:00 pm. The meeting will start in the District Offices which is adjacent to the High School. The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory. No additional site visits are permissible without first contacting the school district to schedule.
