PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BIDS The Iroquois School District will receive sealed bids for Paving and Concrete Construction for the existing Iroquois Junior Senior High School including demolition, disposal, excavation, grading, etc. at Iroquois Junior Senior High School located at 4301 Main Street, Erie, Pennsylvania until 3:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Iroquois School District Administration Office, 800 Tyndall Avenue, Erie, Pennsylvania 16511, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Forms of contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the offices of Hallgren, Restifo, Loop & Coughlin Architects; 4380 West Twelfth Street; Erie, Pennsylvania 16505. Copies of the documents may be obtained by depositing $50.00 with the Architect for each set. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition within ten (10) days after bid opening only to those bidders who have submitted a bona fide bid. Bid security in the minimum amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or physical handicap, and that the Resident Employment and Training Requirements of Executive Order 11246 be observed. Attention is also called to the provisions for payment of not less than the Prevailing Wages as set forth in the specifications. With respect to the project, all bidders must comply with those provisions of Federal and State Statutes and their rules and regulations which deal with the prevention of environment pollution and the preservation of public natural resources. All bidders must complete and execute a Non-Collusion Affidavit and submit this affidavit with their bid. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days, subsequent to the opening of bids, without the consent of the Iroquois School District.
