PUBLIC NOTICE BID ADVERTISEMENT The Borough of Albion located at 26 Smock Avenue; Albion, PA 16401 will receive separate sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time on October 9, 2014 for construction of water supply facilities off Reservoir Road and a garage building at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bids shall be publicly opened and read at the above appointed time and place. Bids will be received for three (3) separate contracts as follows: • Contract 1 General Construction for Reservoir Road Water Supply Facilities. Contract 1 involves general construction of a concrete water storage tank, site work, piping, pump station in masonry building and related work. • Contract 2 Electrical Construction for Reservoir Road Water Supply Facilities. Contract 2 involves electrical construction for the project including furnishing and installing motor control centers, standby generator system, wiring, lighting and related work. • Contract 3 Garage Building at Wastewater Treatment Plant. Contract 3 involves construction of a 30 foot by 60 foot metal pole building and related work Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the "Instructions to Bidders" section of the specifications. Proposal Security shall be made payable to the Borough of Albion. Copies of contract documents, including plans and specifications for the contract work, may be examined at the Albion Borough Office or at the office of Hill Engineering, Inc., 8 Gibson Street, North East, Pennsylvania 16428. The contract documents may be obtained from Hill Engineering, Inc. upon payment of $200 for each set of contract documents for Contract 1 and Contract 2 and payment of $150 for Contract 3. In lieu of printed paper drawings, a CD of the drawings can be provided and costs will be reduced by $100. Payments are non-refundable. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of contract documents. Contractors must comply with the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents. Except as otherwise expressly permitted by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60 days after date of bid opening. The Borough of Albion reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any part of any bid, and to waive any and all informalities in connection therewith.
