NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Frostburg will conduct a Public Hearing to provide citizens with an update regarding Phase I of the Savage Raw Water and Energy Conservation Project which was funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. This project included rehabilitating spring houses and collection lines at the Savage Springs Pumping Station. The hearing will be held at the Community Center, 27 S. Water St., on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 7:00 PM. Citizens will be furnished with information including but not limited to: the scope of the project and activities completed; the schedule of work; the final costs associated with the project and the sources of funding. The Maryland CDBG Program is funded with Federal appropriations from the US Department of Housing and Urban Developments budget for projects designed to assist units of general local government with activities directed toward neighborhood and housing revitalization, economic development, and improved community facilities and services. The Maryland CDBG Program reflects the State's economic and community development priorities; and provides funding for activities which meet one of the following national objectives, in accordance with the Housing Community Development Act of 1974, as amended: Low and Moderate Income Benefit; Elimination of Slum or Blight; Meet an Urgent Need.
