PUBLIC NOTICE The Human Resources Development Commission, Inc. (HRDC), a private non-profit organization located in Allegany County, is applying to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration through the Interagency Committee on Specialized Transportation of the State of Maryland for financial assistance to aid in the purchase of one- eight (8) seated, plus two (2) wheelchair passenger and a four (4) seated plus two (2) wheelchair passenger gasoline buses for a total of $85,505.35, designed to meet the special transportation needs of the elderly and persons with disabilities. In addition to the paratransit vehicles, HRDC is asking for financial assistance for preventative maintenance of $13,500.00 and assistance for mobility management of $30,000.00. The Allegany County HRDC plans to provide transportation services as follows: to provide transportation of clients to and from programs within the Area Agency on Aging and Adult Medical Day Services. The detailed service plan is available for review at 125 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, March 13 to April 6, 2015.
