LEGAL NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the following Resolution will be considered by the City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, at its regular meeting to be held on February 23, 2015, in the Council Chambers of the Athens Police Department at 951 E. Hobbs Street, in the City of Athens, Alabama, at 5:30 p.m., and at such time and place, all persons who desire shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of the following proposed Resolution. RESOLUTION NO. ____________________ A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE APPROVAL OF A REVISED MASTER PLAN FOR A PLANNED MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF US HIGHWAY 72 AND EAST OF PINEY CREEK IN A P-MU MIXED USE DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Athens, Alabama, has rescinded a Master Plan for Creekside Village, adopted in 2005 to serve as the development plan for a P-MU Mixed Use District located on the north side of US Highway 72 and east of Piney Creek; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve the Master Plan of Peyton Ridge Village, a Planned Mixed-Use Development for the same P-MU Mixed Use District; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, finds that the Master Plan of Peyton Ridge Village should be approved; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATHENS, ALABAMA, to rescind the Master Plan for Creekside Village and grant approval of the Master Plan for Peyton Ridge Village, a Planned Mixed-Use Development located on the north side of US Highway 72 and east of Piney Creek in a P-MU Mixed Use District, and proposed by Peyton Ridge Village, LTD.
