PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of the Borough of Venango, Crawford County, Pennsylvania intends to consider and enact an ordinance to extend the Coaxial Cable Television Corporation's franchise for cable television service in the Borough at its regular meeting scheduled for April 1, 2013 at the Venango Fire Hall located at 21486 Meadville Street, Venango, beginning at 7 oclock p.m. The title of the ordinance is: An Ordinance to Authorize the Grant of an Extension of the Cable Franchise to Coaxial Cable Television Corporation for Use of the Public Right of Ways for Cable Services in the Borough of Venango in accordance with the terms of Ordinance No 27 of 1983, as Amended. A summary follows: Section 1 grants Coaxial a cable franchise for use of the public rights of way. Section 2 establishes a term of 15 years for the franchise. Section 3 provides for exchange of reports. Section 4 sets a franchise fee of 5% of gross revenues. Section 5 provides for the review of Coaxial's services. Section 6 authorizes Borough actions. Section 7 severs provisions found invalid. Section 8 repeals inconsistent ordinances. Section 9 makes the ordinance effective when approved in accord with the Borough Code.
