(Published In THE TIMES, Mayes County, Oklahoma December 29, 2016, January 12, 2017) Opportunity for Public Hearing All interested persons are hereby given notice that Pelivan Transit owned and operated by Grand Gateway EDA and the Northeast Oklahoma Tribal Transit Consortium are seeking financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Transportation, (Federal Transit Administration) for the purpose of operating an integrated rural public and tribal transit system. The Federal Transit Administration’s Section 5311 and 5311(c ) grant funds will be used to operate the Pelivan Transit system in certain areas of Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Ottawa, Rogers and (northern) Tulsa. This transit system will provide transportation services from points of origin to destination for the general public and tribal citizens based on demand responses during scheduled hours of operation. The demand response services will be operated through the Call Center at Grand Gateway EDA in Big Cabin and various Dispatch centers in the cities of Claremore, Grove, Miami, and Owasso. If any person desires a public hearing to discuss the social, economic and/or environmental effects of the proposed projects, they may contact the Transit Director at Grand Gateway at 800.482.4594, ext. 233. A copy of the grant application will be available for public inspection at Grand Gateway, 333 South Oak Street, Big Cabin, OK on 05/01/2017.
