PUBLIC NOTICE PERMIT RENEWAL Pursuant to the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Rules and Regulations and Clean Streams Law notice hereby is given that Laurel Sand & Stone, Inc., PO Box 556, Ligonier, PA 15658, has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for renewing its existing surface coal mine permit and the related NPDES permit (Permit # PA0263249). The current permit # 11110102 was issued on March 30, 2012. This renewal does not contain revisions to the existing operation. The receiving streams for the permit area are unnamed tributaries to Bracken Run and Bracken Run, unnamed tributaries to South Branch Blacklick Creek and South Branch Blacklick Creek (CWF). The operation is located in Jackson Township, Cambria County and is known as the Goat Hill Surface Mine. The permit area is situated on State Gamelands 079 approximately 1 mile east of Vintondale. The Vintondale, Pa., U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute topographic map contains the area described. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Cambria County Conservation District, 401 Candlelight Drive #221, Ebensburg, PA 15931. Written comments, objections, or a request for public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the DEP, Cambria District Office, 286 Industrial Park Road, Ebensburg, PA 15931, within thirty days from the final (4th) publication of this notice and must include the personÕs name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the comment(s).
