IF YOU HAVE NOT FILED YOUR NEW APPLICATION WITH THE SUWANNEE COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER’S OFFICE, YOU MUST DO SO BETWEEN JANUARY 1ST AND MARCH 1st TO QUALIFY FOR YOUR HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION AND / OR AGRICULTURAL CLASSIFICATION AND ALL OTHER EXEMPTIONS.

IF YOU RECEIVED HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION AND/OR AGRICULTRAL CLASSIFICATION IN 2016, AND THERE HAVE BEEN “NO CHANGES”, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SIGN AND RETURN YOUR CARD. KEEP THE CARD YOU WERE MAILED AS YOUR RECEIPT.
**IF YOU PURCHASED THE PROPERTY IN THE YEAR 2016 AND RECEIVED THE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION AND/OR AGRICULTURAL CLASSIFICATION FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER, YOU MUST REAPPLY IN YOUR NAME FOR THE EXEMPTION OR CLASSIFICATION TO CONTINUE FOR 2017.
