BEFORE THE UTILITIES BOARD OF THE UTILITIES DIVISION OF THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE TO THE CITIZENS OF CLINTON COUNTY:
Notice is given that
Interstate Power and Light Company, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, under the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 479 (2015), has filed a petition with the Iowa Utilities Board (Board) for renewal of a permit to construct, operate, and maintain an existing natural gas pipeline. The route of the pipeline is described as follows:

Low Moor Lateral
All sections of the pipeline described by the following legal description are located in public Right of Way with the exception of the Low Moor city gate station which is owned by Interstate Power and Light and the Low Moor transmission regulating station which is located on private easement.
A4- and 2-inch diameter natural gas pipeline beginning at a point of connection with petitioner’s existing Low Moor transmission regulating station located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 81 North, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County, Iowa; the 4-inch line thence runs in a Northwesterly direction in the northerly margin of the public right of way along 9th Avenue for approximately 0.30 mile; thence continuing Westerly along the north margin of the public right of way of 260th Street crossing into the Southwest Quarter Section 21, Township 81, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing West in the Southeast and Southwest Quarter Section 20, Township 81, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing Westerly into the Northwest Quarter Section 29, Township 81 North, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County by crossing 260th Street in a perpendicular orientation approximately 3,000 Feet from the Northeast corner of Section 29, Township 81, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing West in the southerly margin of the Right of Way of 260th Street in the Northwest Quarter Section 29, Township 81, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing into the Northeast quarter Section 30, Township 81, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; the pipeline continues in the afore mentioned Section crossing an industrial rail spur owned by Equistar Chemical L.P.; thence continuing into the Northwest Quarter Section 30, Township 81, Range 6 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing West into the Northeast Quarter Section 25, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County.
In the Northeast Quarter Section 25, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian west of 49th Avenue in the southerly margin south of 260th Street, the pipeline transitions underground from a 4 inch nominal diameter to a 2 inch nominal diameter; the pipeline continues in the afore mentioned Section crossing an industrial rail spur owned by Rail One USA Corp in the Northeast Quarter Section 25, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing West in the Southerly margin of the Right of Way of 260th Street into the Northeast and Northwest Section 25, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County; thence continuing northwesterly into the Northeast Quarter Section 26, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County before crossing into the Southeast Quarter Section 23, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County approximately 0.28 Miles West of the aforementioned Northeast corner of Section 26; thence continuing Southwest in the Southerly margin of the public Right of Way of 260th Street crossing the Union Pacific railroad briefly entering into Northeast Section 26, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County, thence continuing in the aforementioned Section crossing 260th Street in a Northwesterly direction entering into Southeast Section 23, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian; thence continuing West approximately 0.05 Miles in the Northerly margin of the Public Right of Way of 44th Avenue entering into the Southwest Section 23, Township 81, Range 5 East of the 5th Principal Meridian, Clinton County before terminating at the petitioner’s Low Moor city gate station.
