Published in The Muskogee Phoenix January 6, 2017 Oklahoma Department Of Environmental Quality TIER II Notice Of Filing A TIER II application for renewal of an OPDES permit to operate an industrial wastewater treatment system has been filed with the department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) by applicant, Owens-Brockway Glass Container Inc., Muskogee Facility, York & Shawnee Streets, Muskogee, OK 74403. The applicant requests a permit to treat industrial wastewater by land application at their OwensBrockway Muskogee facility located at York & Shawnee streets in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The wastewater to betreated will consists of water used when tapping the glass melting furnace. The permit, if issued, would establish guidelines for the operation of the industrial wastewater treatment system. A TIER II application for a renewal of an OPDES permit to discharge industrial wastewater has been filed with the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) by OwensBrockway Glass Container Inc., Muskogee Facility, York & Shawnee Streets, Muskogee, OK 74403 The applicant requests a permit to discharge wastewater from their Owens-Brockway Glass Container Inc., Muskogee Facility, located in the SW 1/4, NW 1/4, NW 1/4, Sect 19, T15N, R19EIM, Muskogee County, Oklahoma. The discharge, which will consists of water used during a furnace tap for cooling water, will be to unnamed tributary to North Muskogee Creek (Water body ID#120410010020), thence to the Arkansas River, in stream segment 120410 of the Middle Arkansas river Basin, from Outfall 02 and Outfall 04. The permit if renewed, would establish effluent limitations on the discharge. In response to the application, the draft renewal application for permit may be reviewed at the Muskogee Public Library, 801 West Okmulgee Ave., Muskogee, Oklahoma. After reviewing the application the DEQ will prepare either a draft permit or draft denial. At that time, notice of the prepared draft will be made by the Department and the public will be given the opportunity to review it, submit written commits, or request a public meeting within thirty days.
