NOTICE OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING
The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the
City of Athens, Alabama, will hold a work session at 5:15 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, at 200 W. Hobbs Street, on Thursday, January 19, 2016, for the purpose of hearing the following applications and appeals. At this time, the applicant and all interested parties are requested to be present and will be given the opportunity to be heard.
Case #1 Request of Michael Grisham for a variance to sign height limitations to allow for a billboard to be raised from approximately 45 ft to 60 ft. Said billboard is located between Taco Bell and Russell Stover on US Hwy 72 E in the B-3 Zone.
Case #2 Request of Shearie Woods for a variance to reduce the required 40 ft rear yard setback by 12ft. The property is located at 801 Houston Street South and zoned R-1-2 Residential.
Case #3 Request of Henry Bagsby for a variance to reduce the required 40 ft rear yard setback by 26ft and required 10 ft side yard setback by 6 ft. The property is located at 309 Spring Street and zoned R-1-2 Residential.
