PUBLIC NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS CONCERNING PROPOSED BURN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, to owners of lands adjacent to land owned and operated by the
Oklahoma Department of Wild life Conservation
known as the Cherokee Wildlife Management Area that between January 1 and August 31, 2017, the operators of such Wildlife Management Area located in parts of sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30, 31, 32, & 34 T15N, R21E and parts of sections 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 17, & 18 T14N, R21E, in Cherokee County, Oklahoma intends to bum as a prescribed burning an estimated 7,600 acres of above mentioned property.
This notice is pursuant to Title 2, section 16-28.2 requiring written notice be given to all adjacent property owners within 60 days of a prescribed burning. Property owners may contact Brent Morgan at the Department of Wildlife Conservation at
918-931-0432. A complete plan of the proposed prescribed burning can be found at the Forestry Division Office located at 22082 South J.F. Davis Lane, Tahlequah, Ok, or the Woodall Fire Department in Woodall, Ok.
