PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Cambridge Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, intend to consider and enact Ordinance 01-2017, an Ordinance establishing compensation for the office of the Elected Real Estate and Per Capita Tax Collector, at its regular meeting scheduled for February 13, 2017, at the Municipal Building, located at 22530 Electric Drive, Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The title of the Ordinance is an Ordinance to Establish Compensation for the Office of the Elected Real Estate and Per Capital Tax Collector. A summary of the ordinance follows. Section 1 establishes the compensation for collection of real estate taxes by the elected tax collector, at five and one-half percent (5.5%) of the total taxes collected for each tax parcel listed on the tax duplicate, as well as five and one-half (5.5%) of the total taxes collected for each tax parcel not listed on the tax duplicate. Section 2 establishes the compensation for collection of per capita taxes by the appointed tax collector, at five and one-half percent (5.5%) of all per capita taxes collected. Section 3 provides that the compensation established by the Ordinance is payable to the tax collectors next elected or appointed to the office. Section 4 provides for severability of sections found invalid. Section 5 repeals inconsistent ordinances, and Section 6 provides that the Ordinance is effective in five days. The full text of the Ordinance is available for inspection at the newspaper in which this Legal Notice is being published and the Cambridge Township Office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, which office is located at 22530 Electric Drive, in Cambridge Township.
