RESOLUTION NO: 2016-2
NOTICE OF ELECTION
1. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing body of the Town of Braggs, Oklahoma that for the purpose of electing officers of the said town that:
A nonpartisan general election, if needed, shall be held Tuesday April 4, 2017.
2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the filing period for electing officer of said Town shall begin at 8:00 am on Monday, February 6, 2017, and close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the officers of said Town to be elected are:
Nominated at large and elected at large
4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the officers will be elected for a four year term:
One (1) Trustee Positions for a four (4) year term to expire in 2021
Town Clerk / Treasurer Position for a four (4) year term to expire in 2021
5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each candidate must be a qualified elector by virtue of being a resident and registered voter within the municipality for at least six (6) months prior to filing a declaration of candidacy.
6. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that absentee ballots will be provided in accordance with state law.
