PUBLIC NOTICE Sealed proposals will be received at the Meadville City Building, City Clerks Office, 894 Diamond Park, Meadville, Pennsylvania until 2 P.M. oclock prevailing time, Thursday, May 23, 2013, for the following: OPTION 1: 1. 3505 Tons Placement of Bituminous Wearing Course at Various Locations 2. 2385 Tons Placement of Bituminous Leveling Course at Various Locations 3. 97 Tons Placement of Bituminous Base Course at Various Locations 4. 240 Tons Placement of Bituminous Scratch Course at Various Locations 5. 100 Tons Base repair at Various Locations (excavation incidental) 6. 31,050 SY Bituminous Milling at Various Depths at Various Locations OPTION 2: 1. 0.3% (three tenths of a percent) Boni Fibers to the weight of asphalt additive to the price of Wearing OPTION 3: 1. 19 Tons Placement of Bituminous Wearing Course at Various Locations 2. 28 Tons Placement of Bituminous Base Course at Various Locations 3. 168 SY Bituminous Milling at Various Depths at Various Locations • Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $200.00 per calendar day. • Proposals must be completed on the forms furnished by the City of Meadville, Public Works Department, located at 1340 South Cottage Street, Meadville, PA 16335. • The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the City of Meadville. • A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. • The City of Meadville has the right to reject any or all proposals.
