PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Vernon Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 3:30 pm, at the Vernon Township Municipal Building, 16678 McMath Ave., Meadville, Pa. At that time, public comment may be heard regarding the following requests: Appeal #547 is from Rose Ann Alexatos who is proposing to construct a 1,950 sq. ft. restaurant with 19 parking spaces and a drive-thru window, at 16383 Conneaut Lake Road, in Vernon Township. This property is identified as tax parcel #6506-54 and is located in the Conneaut Corridor Zone district. This hearing is being held because the proposed paving for the parking lot and drive-thru lane would not meet the minimum 3 setback from the side property lines, as required in section 505, Part A, of the Vernon Township Zoning Ordinance. Appeal #548 is from Michael W. Shimmel who is proposing to construct a 28 x 34 detached garage, at 9947 Pine Road, in Vernon Township. This property is identified as tax parcel #6508-25-A-2 and is located in the Conservation Agricultural Zone. This hearing is being held because the proposed detached garage would not comply with Section 508, Part B, of the Vernon Township Zoning Ordinance which requires that all accessory use buildings be located no closer to road than the principal use building on that property.
