PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT NORTH & SOUTH SHENANGO JOINT MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION CONTRACT NO. 2013-01 – GENERAL/MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT 2013-02 – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION Public notice is hereby given that the North & South Shenango Joint Municipal Authority will receive sealed bids at the office of the Authority, located at 3397 Dam Road, Jamestown, Pennsylvania 16134 until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 for the NSSJMA WWTP Expansion Project CONTRACT NO. 2013-01 – GENERAL/MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION and CONTRACT 2013-02 – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION. Immediately after the closing time for receipt of bids, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A Pre-Bid conference will be held at the North & South Shenango Joint Municipal Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant facility, 3397 Dam Road in South Shenango Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. to review the details of project requirements. Attendance at this meeting is non-mandatory. A certified check, bank draft, or a Bid Bond executed on the prescribed form by the Bidder and a Surety Company, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid, shall be submitted with each Bid to guarantee the Bidder’s entrance into this Contract if given the award. No Bid Bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder failed to or cannot comply with any requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents or any applicable statutes of the United States, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and/or all local ordinances. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the bids. The Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color or national origin. Contractor shall be required to submit with their bid an E-Verify Program Verification in compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act 127 of 2012. Contractor must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Materials utilized must comply with the Steel Products Procurement Act.
