TOWN COUNCIL ORDINANCE NO. 23-2018 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE PLAINFIELD ZONING ORDINANCE AND ZONE MAP OF THE TOWN OF PLAINFIELD, INDIANA, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT WHEREAS, I.C. 36 7 4, et seq., empowers the Town of Plainfield Plan Commission to hold public hearings and make recommendations to the Town Council of the Town of Plainfield concerning ordinances for the zoning or districting of all lands within the incorporated areas of the Town of Plainfield; and, WHEREAS, the Town of Plainfield Plan Commission has conducted a public hearing in accordance with I.C. 36 7 4, et seq., with respect to a proposal to amend the Plainfield Zoning Ordinance and Zone Map of the Town of Plainfield, Indiana, and has certified such proposal to the Town Council of the Town of Plainfield with a favorable recommendation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PLAINFIELD, HENDRICKS COUNTY, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendment Pursuant to Docket No. RZ-18-005, (Integrity Behavioral Solutions) the real estate described in Exhibit "A" of about 0.631 acres attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference is hereby rezoned from the "R-2 Low Density Residential" district to the "OD Office" district classification of the Plainfield Zoning Ordinance. Section 2. Severability If any section of this Ordinance shall be held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, its invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of this Ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid provision, and for this purpose, the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable. Section 3. Public Notice Notice of Intent to File Application The City of Pavo, Georgia intends to file a loan/ grant application with USDA Rural Development’s Rural Utilities Service for funds Water System Improvements. The proposed project includes construction of a new 125,000 Gallon Elevated Water Storage Tank, a new 500 GPM deep well water supply with chemical feed building, replacement of existing water meters and replacement of approximately 21,000 feet of old deteriorated watermain with 10, 8 and 6-inch PVC watermain. The improvements are needed to provide system redundancy and to comply with the Environmental Protection Division’s minimum standards. The anticipated cost of the project is $2,664,360. PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION 2018 EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT (ESG) PROGRAM NON-ENTITLEMENT MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN CRAWFORD COUNTY It is the intent of the Crawford County Commissioners to submit an application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for Federal Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. For the 2018 Program Year, Crawford County estimates that it will apply for an amount not exceeding $125,000. The allowable uses for this grant funding are: rehabilitation or conversion of buildings for use as emergency shelters for the homeless, for the payment of certain expenses related to operating emergency shelters, for essential services related to emergency shelters and street outreach for the homeless, and for homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing assistance. This funding is made available to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, as authorized by subtitle B of title IV of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. In order to receive input from the local units of government, local authorities, non-profits and residents in Crawford County, a public input meeting will be held on Tuesday July 17, 2018, at 9:00 AM, in the Assembly Room at the Crawford County Courthouse, 903 Diamond Park, Meadville, PA 16335. This meeting will provide information regarding the ESG program and allow for an opportunity to discuss potential projects and plans. Accommodations will be extended for those with disabilities attending the meeting. Prior to the meeting, please call the Planning Office at 814-333-7341 so that such accommodations may be made.
