PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BIDS ALBION BOROUGH 202 EAST STATE STREET LOCATION CONTRACT #1: BUILDING INTERIOR DEMOLITION PROJECT CONTRACT #2: MOLD REMEDIATION PROJECT ALBION BOROUGH will receive sealed individual bids for the following: CONTRACT #1: BUILDING INTERIOR DEMOLITION PROJECT CONTRACT #2: MOLD REMEDIATION PROJECT For the commercial building located at 202 East State Street, Albion Pa. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Albion Borough Office, 26 Smock Avenue, Albion, PA., at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Separate Bids are invited for the following: CONTRACT #1: BUILDING INTERIOR DEMOLITION PROJECT The interior demolition of a 1 story building, 138 x 60 (8280 square feet), including demolition and removal of the following items but not limited to; all existing interior drywall and insulation, all existing suspended ceiling panels and suspended ceiling grid work, and lighting fixtures. Interior demolition of this building is required due to mold contamination. CONTRACT #2: MOLD REMEDIATION PROJECT Contractor to clean all mold-contaminated surfaces located on the interior of the commercial building, i.e. walls, windows, doors, ceiling trusses, interior wall studs, HVAC units, duct work, floors and other items that may contain mold. Mold testing shall be performed once remediation is completed by a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Job completion shall be based on approval of testing results. Contract Documents, including drawings and technical specifications, may be reviewed/obtained at the office of Rabell Surveying and Engineering LLC, 10560 Walnut Street, Albion, Pennsylvania 16401, 814-756-4384, for a non-refundable fee of $30.00 for both contracts. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose names and addresses are on record as having obtained the Contract Documents. All work shall follow the standards for best management practices and shall be in compliance of mold remediation guideline standards for commercial buildings. As each contract is anticipated to be less than $25,000, PA Prevailing Wage will not apply. Substantial completion for each project is 45 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Albion Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contracts. 05/05,08/14
