PUBLIC NOTICE INVITATION FOR BIDS The Cambridge Area Joint Authority will receive sealed bids labeled Inflow/Infiltration Removal, until 3:00 p.m. on the 25th day of September, 2014, at the Cambridge Area Joint Authority Office, located at 161 Carringer Street, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Inflow/Infiltration Removal generally involves the following work: • Disconnection of three (3) roof/area drains • Joint sealing of approximately 535 linear feet of 12 inch sanitary sewer • Joint sealing of approximately 495 linear feet of 8 inch sanitary sewer • Televising of approximately 1,177 linear feet of 8 inch sanitary sewer • Spot line repair of approximately 30 linear feet of 8 inch sanitary sewer • Smoke testing of approximately 6,237 linear feet of sanitary sewer • Televising of approximately 1,710 linear feet of sanitary lateral • Replacement of approximately 420 linear feet of sanitary lateral • Pavement, sidewalk and lawn restoration Copies of contract documents, including plans and specifications for the contract work, may be examined beginning September 10, 2014 at the Borough of Cambridge Springs Office or at the office of Hill Engineering, Inc., 8 Gibson Street, North East, Pennsylvania 16428 and may be obtained from Hill Engineering, Inc. upon payment of $75. This payment is for each set of contract documents and is non-refundable. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record as having obtained the Contract Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond with corporate surety, payable to the Cambridge Area Joint Authority in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price. This Project is subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rate Determinations, which are included in the Contract Documents.
