
Property Tax Reminder
Property owners that have not paid their 2016 Property Taxes must do so by Tuesday, January 31, 2017 to avoid penalty and interest charges added to their tax bills.
State law requires any 2016 Property Taxes not paid or postmarked by January 31, 2017 be considered delinquent. Penalty and interest of seven percent will be added to the tax bill beginning Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
Penalty charges continue to increase monthly to a maximum of 12 percent, interest charges continue to increase at a rate of one percent per month until the delinquent bill is paid in full.
The Appraisal District office is located at 841 Justin Road, Rockwall, TX 75087 and remains open during the noon hour Monday through Friday. The office lobby closes at 4:00 p.m. weekdays. A drop box is located to the left of the front entrance.
Don’t wait until the last day as the lines are usually long.

if you have misplaced or need information regarding your statement amount. On the website use the Property Search, then go to “details”; then scroll down to taxes due to review your information.
Payments may also be paid on the website with a credit card through the certified payments tab. There will be an additional fee for using Certified Payments. The district accepts “Bill Pay” if your bank offers the option.
