PURSUANT TO THE "SURFACE MININ...
Pursuant to the "Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act" and the "Clean Streams Law" notice is hereby given that Ebensburg Power Company, 11 Lloyd Avenue, Suite 200, Latrobe, PA 15650 has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for a permit to conduct surface mining activities in Cambria Township, Cambria County, PA. The site is called the Revloc 1 Coal Refuse Operation. The application includes a request to change the postmining land use from Wildlife Habitat to Industrial / Commercial. The proposed permit area is 56.5 acres and is situated about 6/10ths of a mile west of the intersection of Routes 422 / 219 adjacent to the town of Revloc, PA. The receiving stream for this proposed permit area is South Branch Blacklick Creek. The Nanty Glo PA., U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map contains the area described. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Cambria County Conservation District office located at 401 Candlelight Drive Suite 229, Ebensburg, PA 15931.
