The
CITY OF CORSICANA
will hold a public hearing on the City’s proposed 2019 budget. The public hearing will be held on September 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at City of Corsicana Government Center, 200 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas.
This budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by an amount of $635,403, which is a 7.31% increase from last year’s budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $53,076.
This budget is available for inspection by the public at
www.cityofcorsicana.com
and at the City of Corsicana Public Library, located at 100 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the hearing and express their views.

Advertisement and Invitation to Bid for Construction
The City of Corsicana will receive bids for the Repairs to Temple Beth- El project submitted to the office of the City Manager, 200 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas 75110. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Repairs to Temple Beth-El” in the lower left hand corner. The Bid Proposal Form is included in the contract documents. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Government Center (Conference Room), 200 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas 75110.
Bids are invited for the items of work including, but not limited to:
- Construct 18”x6”x6” concrete beam to support west wall-70 linear feet.
- Remove and replace wood siding on west wall and second story wall.
- Repair/Replace existing windows on west wall.
- Remove and replace gutters and downspouts.
- Paint all surfaces wood siding and trim.
The City of Corsicana reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders’ qualifications prior to contract award. Bid/Contract Documents may be examined or obtained beginning August 27, 2018 at the office of the City Engineer, 200 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, Texas 75110 (903- 654-4858). Potential bidders must be listed as a Plan Holder no later than September 7, 2018.
All contractors/subcontractors who are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.

For the purpose of seeking citizens input on the City of Valdosta’s 2017 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. On September 5th, the City of Valdosta will have completed copies of the CAPER for FY 2017 for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for review. The purpose of the CAPER is to provide the City of Valdosta with an opportunity to evaluate its overall progress on an annual basis in carrying out priorities and objectives identified in the HUD-approved Consolidated Plan and to report its progress to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the citizens of Valdosta. The City of Valdosta actively encourages ongoing citizen input and feedback. The comments received from the public participation process are an integral part of the overall CAPER assessment process. Citizens wishing to make comments may do so in writing beginning Wednesday, September 5th through Thursday, September 27th by 5:00 p.m.
